Billiards by Brandt’s exclusive UK dealer Philip Martyn Design showcases a unique and exclusive custom built pool table from our Miami workshop in their new UK showroom. The showroom’s clever use of color has been designed to highlight the pool table as it’s centre piece. The walls have been painted in the dark and sumptuous Farrow & Ball Studio Green and subtly downlit to accent the mounted works of art, creating an atmospheric setting. The overall effect enhances the sapele wood pool table with its blaze of rich orange Simonis cloth, creating a real wow factor and a striking color scheme.

Bernay Laity, colour consultant for Philip Martyn design says “Dark and deep colours have been a strong decorating trend for a while now and are not set to change any time soon. But, because these colours absorb light, they can make a room feel overwhelming, although they can also create a real sense of drama in a decorating scheme and give a theatrical feel to a room.

My advice would be to use lots of interesting lighting to create an atmosphere. Introduce strong, vibrant, rich, intense jewel tones colours in your scheme with furnishings, accessories, or artwork. Or use with plenty of white as a highlight, to reflect some light and to add definition and contrast”.
